International Trainings
Training course on AI and Critical Thinking - Hammamet, Tunisia (28 April - 4 May 2025)
Hosted by EuroMed EVE Tunisia, the training course brought together 30 youth workers, students, and experts from Italy, France, Belgium, Morocco, Tunisia and Jordan to strengthen critical understanding of Artificial Intelligence and its impact on online hate speech, democratic participation, and youth engagement.
Through non-formal education methods, interactive workshops, and practical simulations, participants explored key topics such as AI literacy, indicators of bias and prejudice, ethical and human-rights-based approaches to AI, and the role of counter-narratives in addressing online hate. The programme combined expert inputs with hands-on activities, including scenario-based role plays, case studies, storytelling exercises, and collaborative group work.

Policy-related aspects were also addressed, encouraging participants to reflect on the relationship between digital platforms, regulation, and democratic values. Discussions highlighted the importance of context-sensitive policies, platform responsibility, and rights-based approaches when designing AI-driven responses to hate speech.
Overall, the training strengthened participants’ capacities to engage with AI in a critical and responsible way and provided concrete tools, methodologies, and reflections that they could bring back to their organisations, contributing to a shared Euro-Mediterranean perspective on the ethical use of AI in youth work.

Training course on Design Thinking to Co-design the Mobile APP - Paris, France (01 - 07 September 2025)
Hosted by AVEC France, the training course focused on design thinking methodologies applied to the co-design of the project’s mobile application and involved 30 youth workers, educators, and professionals working in the youth field from France, Italy, Belgium, Tunisia, Morocco and Jordan. The training adopted participatory approaches and non-formal education methods to support the development of digital solutions addressing online hate speech and youth-related challenges.
Participants engaged in a structured design thinking process, working on problem analysis, identification of user needs, ideation, and the development of initial concepts for the mobile application. The program combined theoretical inputs with practical exercises, collaborative workshops, and group work, allowing ideas to be translated into concrete design elements.
The training contributed to strengthening participants’ understanding of user-centred design and collaborative digital development, while generating shared reflections and outputs that informed the development of the mobile application.
