National Hackathon “Together for the Future” concludes to promote the use of artificial intelligence in combating hate speech
Intelligencia.ma, a Moroccan online news outlet covering current affairs and social issues, published an article on the conclusion of the Moroccan National Social Hackathon “Together for the Future,” presented as part of the broader Generative AI project. The piece describes the initiative as a structured educational journey bringing together young people to explore how artificial intelligence can be used responsibly to address hate speech, misinformation and online discrimination.
The article highlights the strong interest in the initiative, noting that 30 participants were selected from more than 450 applications, and retraces the training path that led to the final pitch day. This included workshops on AI for the common good, design thinking, emotional intelligence, ethical digital storytelling, and project pitching, followed by an online mentoring session to help participants refine their ideas.
According to the coverage, the hackathon was framed not only as a competitive event, but also as a space for learning, collaboration and youth empowerment. It concludes by emphasizing the opportunity for the best participants to represent Morocco at the international final in Italy, linking the local experience to a wider effort to promote responsible, inclusive and democratic digital spaces.
