How can innovation remain human-centred in an AI-driven world?
This question shaped the discussion at the event “AI, Cybersecurity, and Fintech – Shaping the Future of Innovation in Morocco”, held on 10 October in Casablanca at Technopark Maroc. Within this high-level panel, the Erasmus+ project “Generative AI – Youth Sector Challenges and Impact” was presented as a concrete response to one of today’s most urgent digital challenges: online hate and digital toxicity.

The project was represented by Nouhaila Chab, AI researcher, software engineer and Google Women Techmakers Ambassador, who brought the project’s perspective into a broader conversation on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and fintech. Drawing on her direct involvement across the project’s training courses and mobilities, she highlighted how generative AI can be used not only to innovate, but also to protect trust, security and social cohesion online.
During the panel, the project was presented as an initiative that goes beyond technical development, focusing instead on ethical AI, youth empowerment and democratic digital narratives. By linking hate speech to issues of cybersecurity and social resilience, the discussion reframed online harm as a shared responsibility within innovation ecosystems.

Following the panel, the networking session opened space for dialogue with professors, AI specialists, entrepreneurs and students. Conversations explored how ethical AI approaches can be integrated into education, research and innovation pathways, while raising interest in upcoming project activities, including future trainings and the planned hackathon.
By bringing the project into Morocco’s innovation ecosystem, this participation strengthened visibility, credibility and connections, reinforcing the project’s commitment to building safer, more inclusive digital spaces through youth-led and responsible AI innovation.
