AI for Employability: Empowering Young Job Seekers in Morocco

On 5 April 2026, approximately 100 young people gathered in Azrou, Morocco, for “AI Tools to Boost Your Job Search”, an event organised by Al Akhawayn University – Center Azrou for Community Development in partnership with EuroMed EVE Morocco, within the European Commission co-financed IMPACT Project. The initiative explored how artificial intelligence can help young people navigate an increasingly digital labour market, from identifying career opportunities to improving CVs, cover letters and job applications.

As part of the event, EuroMed EVE Morocco introduced the Erasmus+ project Generative AI – Youth Sector Challenges and Impact, connecting the practical use of AI for employability with broader questions of digital literacy, critical thinking and ethical responsibility. Participants were encouraged to look beyond the technical capabilities of AI tools and reflect on the importance of verifying AI-generated information, recognising misinformation and using emerging technologies responsibly.

By bringing the Generative AI project into a learning environment focused on employment and professional development, the initiative helped extend its reach to a wider youth audience. The event highlighted how AI literacy can support not only responsible digital citizenship, but also the development of skills that young people increasingly need to navigate education, employment and professional opportunities.
